Police has registered a case against BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur for her alleged inflammatory speech in Shivamogga, Karnataka.
Pragya Thakur had reportedly said in that program that Hindus have a right to reply to those who attack them and their dignity. Thakur had spoken of keeping a knife with them and using it in self-defense. She said this while referring to the murder of a Hindu activist.
The BJP MP had said, they have a tradition of Jihad, if nothing else they do love Jihad. Even if they love, they do Jihad in it. We (Hindus) also love God, a sannyasin loves his God.
She further said, the sanyasis say that in the world created by God, eliminate all the oppressors and sinners. Respond in the same way to those involved in love jihad. Protect your girls, teach them the right values.
She had said that, “Sanyasis say eliminate all the tyrants and sinners in this world created by God, otherwise the true definition of love will not survive here. So give the same answer to the people involved in love jihad. Protect your girls, Teach them the right values.”
Pragya Thakur called upon Hindus to at least keep sharp knives in their homes as everyone has the right to defend themselves.
A case has been registered against Thakur under sections 153A and 295A of the IPC
According to the police, the Bhopal MP has been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race) and 295A (by intentionally insulting the religion or religious beliefs of any class anhurt religious feelings for the purpose of malicious acts).
