Fog Update: While snowfall continues to wreak havoc in the hills, the plains are predicted to remain pretty much clear. With the beginning of February, warm temperatures are likely to pick the pace and and days to be more clear and sunny. In the same course, the fog is predicted to be less intense in compared to what it was last month.
Some areas in the North will continue to experience fog daily during early morning while days will more or less remain clear. Though, a fresh western disturbance is on cards but it is unlikely to have much impact on plains.
Delhi
The national capital is predicted to remain under shallow fog during early morning hours with visibility predicted to be 800 metres. However, it will then improve to 1200 metres as soon as the day sets on. Rest of the day will remain clear.
Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh’s capital city Lucknow which was engulfed under thick blankets of fog during several days in past will remain much clear today. The visibility is predicted to be 600 metres during the early morning and then improve to 2000 metres in the day.
Jaipur
As per the latest fog update, Jaipur is predicted to remain free from fog today and the upcoming days as well. It could have been fog-free season but severe coldwave this year did not let this happen as Jaipur was covered under the fog for many days.
Amritsar
IMD has predicted Amritsar to remain clear today. This comes in surprise as the city was reeling under cold temperature just a few days back and had dense fog as well.
