Fog Update: In certain areas of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi on January 15 as well as in a few scattered pockets across Uttar Pradesh, the IMD predicts severe to extremely dense fog. On January 15, chilly day conditions are probable in isolated pockets of Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, north Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar. Dense fog is also anticipated in these regions.
With the forthcoming coldwave, the North Indian cities are predicted to be covered by dense fog along with the impact of chilly temperatures. However, any relief is expected only after the 19th of January.
Delhi
IMD predicts that there will be heavy fog again in the nation’s capital. The city is expected to see dense fog in addition to the expected strong coldwave. Today’s morning visibility will be in the range of 100 and 150 metres. However, after early morning, it is anticipated to rise up to 300M.
Lucknow
The capital of Uttar Pradesh is expected to be engulfed in a thick fog this morning. According to the most recent fog report, visibility in the city will only rise after daybreak, when it will be 200 metres.
Jaipur
The city of Jaipur will experience haze and mist effects all day long. However, forecasters expect the shallow fog to persist throughout the mornings. In the morning, there would be only 800 metres of sight.
Amritsar
The conditions for Amritsar’s fog update are not good. After a night of heavy fog, the city will continue to be covered in a thick layer of fog, with visibility decreasing to as low as 50 metres in the morning. Only in the afternoon are things likely to improve.
