Fog Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a forecast on Friday stating that the severe cold wave and dense fog that are plaguing several areas of North India are likely to pass after 24 hours. The IMD also forecasted that over many areas of Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh, dense to very dense fog conditions would persist for the next 24 hours. The IMD added that the distribution and intensity might then decline.
Over northwest India and the neighbouring central and eastern regions of the nation, a thick layer of fog remained, hindering rail and road travel. Read below to know the latest fog update.
Delhi
IMD predicts that the national capital will be more shrouded in the effects of coldwave. The region will see fog but only during the late night and early morning hours. The day will get clearer as soon as the sunrise happens. IMD has predicted visibility to be 0600M during late morning hours.
Lucknow
Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow is currently vouching relief from last couple of days. The intensity of the fog has decreased, however, during the morning it will be somewhat similar. The visibility will be 0800M during the office hours.
Jaipur
Jaipur is yet again under the blankets of fog after a few days of relief. Though, the temperature is already very low, thus, the chilly effect will be there. Fog will, today, show its wrath again as the visibility is touted to be 800M in the morning.
Amritsar
Moderate fog will continue to effect Amritsar today in the morning. The visibility in night was hampered with dense fog and its effect will be seen in the morning today. The visibility is expected to be around 200M.
