Fog Update: The national capital got some relief from the fog today as new year was comparatively better for Delhi residents. However, the weather service predicts change in the pattern. According to the IMD, dense to extremely dense fog is likely to be present in upcoming days in numerous parts of Delhi. The extent and intensity of the fog are then likely to lessen.
The IMD predicts that over the next 48 hours, dense fog will also be present in the states of Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Rajasthan, while East Rajasthan and west Uttar Pradesh will experience it over the next 24 hours.
Delhi
As was already mentioned, the capital will remain shrouded in the early fog. The situation should begin to improve as noon approaches. Along with the chilly weather, the city will also be enveloped in dense fog. Today, there should be 200M of visibility.
Lucknow
The latest fog update predicts that Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, will experience fog conditions similar to those of recent days. This is in line with what IMD has already predicted.
Amritsar
The morning fog that Amritsar experiences will be continue to be the same on the new year as well. The fog should thicken substantially while the cold grows. There will be about 50 metres of visibility today.
