Fog Update: Within the next 24 hours, there is a very good chance that dense to extremely dense fog will persist in some or many locations during the night and early morning hours across Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar before gradually clearing off. From the morning of January 14, dense fog is likely to return in isolated pockets to these regions.
Jammu, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, and Tripura may see intense fog during the next two to three days. During the morning, the fog will take on North India. Though, at the same time, respite is expected from coldwave.
Delhi
Today’s weather will also bring fog to the nation’s capital. IMD forecasts a possibledip of upto 50-100 metres in visibility throughout the early hours. Travel is already difficult due to the thick fog, which is already causing significant delays to both trains and air.
Lucknow
According to the most current fog update, the impacts of the fog will be similar in Lucknow. The capital of Uttar Pradesh would have a visibility of 100 metres duringe arly morning which will improve to 300 metres as noon approaches.
Amritsar
Early in the morning, IMD forecasts visibility to be in the 200–300 metre range; However, things are expected to take a significant turn as the fog will get clear as soon as the sunlight will hit the city. Effect of coldwave is likely to be reduced as well.
Jaipur
According to the most recent fog report, Jaipur would not be impacted by the fog, despite the fact that North India as a whole is forecast to be completely covered in it. However, it will continue to be quite cold. The city has already seen fog a few days prior.
