Fog Update: The Indian Meteorological Department predicted that there will be dense fog in numerous northern states in its weather forecast for the next 48 hours, which was released on Thursday. Since the third week of December, the cold has become more intense in several parts of North India, and fog issues are now being reported.
The fog, which considerably decreased visibility, forced the suspension of train services. According to IMD, fog is predicted to pose issues for several days in various regions of North India. According to the Meteorological Department, Chandigarh, Haryana, and parts of Punjab could have another three days of intense fog.
Delhi
The national capital region will likely have heavy fog today as well, according to IMD. According to the most recent fog update, morning visibility will drop by as much as 050 metres. After the early morning, though, it will improve upto 600 metres.
Lucknow
The state capital of UP will be affected by fog in the morning, however, the effect is likely to be lighter today. Also. the visibility will improve as soon as the sunrise.
Amritsar
Prior to five o clock in the morning, Amritsar will remain below the visibility level of 50M. It will then change to 300M soon after that, and then improve further as the day proceeds.
Jaipur
In contrast to the rest of North India, which is expected to be covered in massive, dense sheets of fog, Jaipur is expected to be fog-free.
