Fog Update: North India’s visibility has been affected throughout by the fog. According to IMD, throughout North-West India during the next three to four days, there is a good chance that the dense to extremely dense fog and chilly day weather will persist. The notification read, “Cold wave conditions are likely to continue over northwest India during the next three days and the intensity will decrease thereafter.”
According to the forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several portions of central India and surrounding regions of the peninsula, east, and northwest India are anticipated to see minimum and maximum temperatures that are below average in January 2023. Fog has severely affected the road, train, and flight movements. Though, Delhi has seen some relief, UP continues to shroud under thick blankets of fog.
Delhi
The visibility in the nation’s capital is expected to drop by up to 50 metres at night. While this morning’s visibility will be 600M, it will also be that way in the early hours. The cold wave will continue to be powerful, so locals must still take measures.
Lucknow
Similar to Delhi, Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is clearer during the day, and more particularly, in the morning, than it is at night. However, it is expected that nighttime visibility will only be in the lower range, about 100 metres.

Jaipur
IMD has now forecast that Rajasthan’s capital would once again be fog-free after a few days of fog. The city will still be chilly since the minimum temperature will only be four degrees, even if it lost the opportunity to remain fog-free the entire season.
Amritsar
As per the latest fog update, Only 50 metres of sight will be possible in the early morning hours, resulting in deep fog all throughout the city. However, the visibility will change to 500 metres during business hours. There will be more clarity during the day than at night.
