Fog Update: As the low temperature lasted at low levels in the morning, the national capital was still completely engulfed by dense fog. The weather service predicts that severe to extremely dense fog will continue to affect Delhi today as well. On December 29, various sections of Delhi are likely to experience severe to very dense fog, according to the IMD. The extent and intensity of the fog are anticipated to decrease in the upcoming days.
IMD has also predicted that last couple of days of this year might see a lessened impact but with the beginning of new year, the fog will return again.
Delhi
The visibility is likely to dip during early morning hours. Yesterday, over 100 flights were delayed due to this reason. However, the visibility is likely to get better with sunrise. IMD predicts visibility to be 100M during peak fog.
Lucknow
UP’s capital will see some relief from the fog as well. The visibility is likely to be around 200M in the morning and get better by 600M at office hours. This weather pattern will continue for a few days more.
Amritsar
While the fog will almost be identical to last couple of days, it is predicted that haze will takeover the city. The visibility will be 200M during the morning but will get better as noon draws near.
Jaipur
Despite the cold, it’s expected that Jaipur won’t be covered in fog. For a few more days, it probably will flow in a similar manner. This might lead to a season without fog in the city.
