Fog Update

Fog Update: Winter brings its own set of challenges to some regions of North and Northwest India, including cold, nearly freezing temperatures, increased pollution, and occasionally even blinding fog.

Isolated areas of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab are very likely to be covered in dense fog, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Given that fog is created when the air near the ground is cooled and causes the condensation of water vapour, foggy conditions are typically the norm during the winter. Because pollution particles encourage water droplets to congregate and grow, the fog may be especially dense in areas with high pollution levels. Read the fog update for tomorrow:

Delhi

It’s Decemeber already, so, fog is expected to hinder the national capital for some time now. IMD has predicted that during the morning the visibility will get significantly reduced. The visibility can get as low as 800M in shallow fog. Delhi’s air quality and pollution is likely to hinder even more.

Lucknow

As per the latest update, UP’s capital is likely to be covered up with dense fog. This trend is likely to continue with the winter season as winters are extensively cooler in North India. Visibility can reduce to 0700M.

Jaipur

Surprisingly, IMD has predicted that fog won’t affect Jaipur much for tomorrow. However, as the winter season will proceed, the trend is likely to get changed.

Amritsar

Amritsar is predicted to continuosly affected by the fog. The weather is likely to be chilled along with dense fog vigorously affecting Amritsar. The visibility can reduce upto 0300M in the morning.
