G20 Summit: In order to make sure that everything is set up for the forthcoming international event, which will take place from September 8–10, the Delhi Traffic Police is holding a two-day G20 Summit rehearsal in the nation’s capital commencing on Saturday.

Delhi Implements Strict Vehicle Movement Regulations Ahead of G20 Summit Rehearsal

Due to the regulation of vehicle movement on several roads, a traffic alert has been issued. Residents were already notified that transport and access to the national capital likely to restricted for the three days of the summit. The New Delhi district, popularly known as the Lutyens’ Zone, may only allow residents and those employed in critical services positions to enter after presenting identification for security concerns, according to the authorities. There will also be strict regulations in other areas.

India Hosts Largest International Gathering in a Decade with High-Profile World Leaders

The Group of 20 (G20) summit taking place this year, hosted by India, is the largest international gathering to take place in Delhi in over a decade. More than 10,000 police officers will provide tight protection when the G20 leaders and ministers arrive for the conference. The European Union and 19 other nations make up the G20. Prominent world leaders like US President Joe Biden, Chinese Premier Xi Jinping, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, among others, are included on the high-profile guest list.
