The tweet from Guterres stated:
“We commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday as well as his commitment to the ideals of peace, respect, and the fundamental dignity that all people share on the International Day of Non-Violence. By adopting these ideals & collaborating across cultures, we can overcome the issues of today.”
The “Knotted Gun” is a famous sculpture that spreads the message of peace and nonviolence around the world.
Following John Lennon’s assassination, Swedish artist Carl Fredrik Reuterswrd made the sculpture as a memorial. Lennon was an English lyricist and member of the Beetles.
The artwork can be found in more than 30 locations around the globe, including the UN building, the Lausanne Olympic Museum, and the Peace Park in Beijing.
