Rules to follow while Visarajan
Before immersing Lord Ganesha, it is essential to perform a worship ritual. Offer items such as red sandalwood, red flowers, durva grass, motichoor laddoos or gram flour laddus, betel leaves, betel nuts, and incense sticks to the Lord. Conduct an aarti ceremony for Lord Ganesha, and create a bundle containing laddoos and dakshina (a form of offering) to give to Him. Since He is returning home, it is customary not to send Him away empty-handed. After offering prayers and completing the rituals, lift the idol, shower it with flowers and colors, and then proceed to immerse the Lord in a designated location as specified by the authorities or, if permissible, at home in a tub.
