Delhi police on Monday said that they have found the claims of terror outfit Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind, an Al-Qaeda affiliated Islamist militant group, regarding the Ghazipur Mandi bomb scare, as bogus.
Senior officials from the special cell, the Delhi Police’s Anti-Terror Squad, said they are still probing whether the group is responsible for the terror attack attempt.
Another police official said the telegram message was spotted by central agencies during social media surveillance and the information was shared with a special cell of the Delhi Police.

The official said, “Our special cell officers are trying to trace the source of that telegram message and establish the authenticity of the claim. This is a difficult task, because the message came through an encrypted channel.”
On Monday, NSG confirmed that it was a mixture of RDX and ammonia nitrate attached to a sophisticated device to cause the explosion. The Delhi Police which had registered a case under the explosive act to probe the incident.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police is scanning more than 80 CCTV located in the vicinity where the explosive was found in Gazipur.
