The Goa government has announced that it is “positively thinking” about implementing full lockdown.
They also said decision will be taken after confirming it with stakeholders and the state cabinet in “two to three days”.
Goa CM Pramod Sawant, when speaking to media late Thursday after online discussion with BJP MLAs, said that ” even if the state government went ahead with a lockdown, grocery stores and shops selling essential goods would continue to remain open.”
“Many (MLAs) are of the opinion that we should consider a COVID-19 lockdown. Our restrictions which are in place right now are more severe than the last lockdown. But anyhow, we will consider what everyone said,” Sawant said.
Sawant said he has advised BJP MLAs to set up constituency-wise war-rooms.
“I advised them to start a 24X7 war room in each of their constituencies where they can give at least one call a day to each and every patient in their constituency under home-isolation” he said.
“This will help them advice patients on whether they need hospitalisation based on their oxygen level and other readings. They should provide them with an ambulance if hospitalisation is required at the constituency level and provide medicines, groceries etc at home for patients under home-isolation,” it added.
