The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved productivity linked bonus equal to 78 days’ salary for eligible non-gazetted railway employees. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur gave this information. He said that about 11.56 lakh non-gazetted railway workers would benefit from the bonus for the financial year 2020-21. About Rs 1,985 crore will be spent on this. Bonus is usually announced before Dussehra and Puja festivals.
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved setting up of seven Mega Integrated Textile Sector and Apparel (PM Mitra) Parks with a total outlay of Rs 4,445 crore over the next five years. Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal gave this information after the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said that with this step seven lakh people will get direct and 14 lakh indirect employment.
The minister said that 10 states have already expressed interest regarding the park. PM Mitra will be developed through a special purpose unit. This unit will work in public private partnership owned by the state governments and the central government.
