Haj Pilgrimage: By eliminating wasteful spending, the Central Government decreased the cost of haj by one lakh rupees. The National Haj Committee and the Hajj Committees of all other states met on Saturday to discuss the Hajj Yatra.

What the head of the UP-State Haj committee told reporters
Mohsin Raza, the head of the UP-State Haj committee, told reporters that numerous significant decisions were made with pilgrims performing the hajj in mind. The meeting was chaired by Union Minority Development Minister Smriti Irani. Haj pilgrims can now save Rs. 1 lakh on their Haj pilgrimage as a result of the center’s decision. Additionally, no private company is permitted to test Haj pilgrims using RTPCR before their departure.
Key decisions made at the meeting
The Haj Committee gets the authority by the federal government to expeditiously conclude the registration procedure. In addition, the Hajj house will be used to help struggling and impoverished women. The suggestion to form a women’s committee to assist women Haj pilgrims and report their complaints while travelling was also agreed at the conference.
Additionally, Mohsin Raza said that the Saudi Arabian authorities has rejected the hajj rule up to the age of 65. Due to the fact that the majority of Hajj pilgrims from UP, India travel to Mecca and Medina for this reason, the federal government has set aside the biggest number of reservations for this state.
