Here’s what Harish Rawat requested to Congress before Punjab, Uttarakhand polls

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Harish Rawat has written a note on facebook where he has revealed how much he is in dilemma to serve his hometown Uttarakhand and workplace Punjab at the same time. In the recent post, the Punjab Party Incharge said he has work duties towards Punjab but while working in Punjab, it is hard to visit everywhere in his hometown to console flood-affected people in Uttrakhand. In the news, about 46 people have died because of the flood; going out of control because of the continuous rainfall. The heavy rainfall has recorded massive damage in the state.

Meanwhile in Punjab, farmers are continuing with their strike against the three farm laws. Congress leader Rawat in his facebook post said that his work front expects something else from him as he has to report in Punjab as well due to which he could not go to more places in Uttarakhand. Further he said that he will be serving justice to his workland only if he serves his birthplace first. After showing respect towards the Punjab’s people, gods and saints, he said that he will ask the party high command to set him free of Punjab duties so he can dedicate his time to Uttarakhand.

He also said that he will have to give time to the people of both the states as the elections will arrive. He concluded his post by saying, ‘Party’s command , Harish Rawat’s wishes’, “Jai Congress Party ”. He attached a picture of himself talking to media agency ANI, the post has got 1.1k likes. 

Senior Congress leader has served as seventh chief minister od Uttarakhand from 2014-2017.
