Expelled AIADMK chief VK Sasikala received a rousing welcome in Chennai on her return to Chennai after spending four years in Bengaluru jail over corruption charges.
On her return, Sasikala vowed to work for the betterment of her party and the entire state ’till last of her breath’.
Despite her ex-party complaning about the use of AIADMK flag on her car, she flaunted it on her car, which has raised the speculations on her comeback in the party.
“All should unitedly stand as children of one mother to defeat common enemy. This great movement shouldn’t disintegrate due to the likes and dislikes of a few,” said Sasikala as quoted saying by NDTV.
“We should not give room for our political opponents to divide and rule,” she added, her words ironically raising the spectre of a revived power tussle within the AIADMK.
“I am a slave for Tamils, the cadre, Tamil culture…But I will never be afraid of oppression.”
These words were the highlights of the entire day yesterday. The 66 years old was released from jail on January 27 but he was admitted in Bengaluru hospital after testing positive for COVID-19.
