India Canada Relations: Hindus and Sikhs Unite to Protest Khalistani Attack on Temple, Is Trudeau Watching?

India Canada Relation– Thousands of Indian-origin Canadians, including members of both Hindu and Sikh communities, gathered in Brampton on Monday to protest an attack on the Hindu Sabha temple allegedly carried out by a Khalistani mob over the weekend. The rare mobilization, organized by the Coalition of Hindus in North America (CoHNA), demonstrated the unity and resilience of the community in the face of what they described as an unprovoked and unjustified act of violence.

Protesters, many carrying Indian flags, marched peacefully and blocked roads to condemn the attack and to demand action against the perpetrators. Many attendees called for the Hindu community to reevaluate their political support for Canadian parties that they believe have neglected their safety and concerns, in light of what they feel is leniency shown to pro-Khalistani activists by Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s administration.

Thousands Unite in Peaceful Protest Against Khalistani Extremism

“This is an awakening for the Hindu community,” said Canadian journalist Daniel Bordman, adding that this was a “coming together of all communities against Khalistanis.” Protesters emphasized that Khalistani extremists do not represent Sikh values, with many Sikh attendees expressing solidarity. “Sikhs are our brothers, not the Khalistanis,” one protester told Rebel News, underscoring the bond between Hindu and Sikh Canadians.

Another protester, a Sikh Canadian, recounted being pressured to support the Khalistani cause but stressed his commitment to unity, saying, “I am here to support my Hindu brothers.”
