UNHRC: India declared on Thursday that Pakistan, the world’s foremost producer of terrorism and violence, and a place where terrorists thrive and roam the streets with impunity, is not the place to learn about democracy and human rights.
Urged Pakistan to concentrate on the security
In exercising India’s right to reply during the general debate of the 52nd session of the Human Rights Council, Under Secretary Dr. PR Thulasidass also urged Pakistan to concentrate on the security, safety, and well-being of its minority communities rather than spouting pointless propaganda and attempting to sow division among Indian communities.
Up to 150 terrorists and terrorist organizations listed by the UN reside in Pakistan
“The world does not require lectures on democracy and human rights from a nation where terrorists live in peace and freedom to roam its streets. Pakistan’s contribution as a premier exporter of terror and violence is unique,” Thulasidass remarked. He emphasised that up to 150 terrorists and terrorist organisations listed by the UN reside in Pakistan and that these individuals have actively campaigned and run for office. “Can Pakistan deny that the perpetrators of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks continue to live in freedom and that impunity rules the nation? … Can Pakistan ignore the fact that the world’s most wanted terrorist, Osama bin Laden, was found residing in Pakistan near a military academy, housed and protected by the deep State?” he said.
Jammu and Kashmir will always be a part of India
Thulasidass declared that Jammu and Kashmir was, is, and will always be a part of India, adding that the union territory is moving in the same direction as the rest of the country towards peace and prosperity. “This is despite Pakistan’s repeated attempts to sabotage the process, through its active and sustained support to terror groups and its malicious disinformation campaign against India.
