India-UK Young Professional Scheme: An updated ballot for the India Young Professionals Scheme has been announced by the UK Home Office. The draw is scheduled to take place on February 20, 2024, and run through February 22, 2024. Successful applicants, who must be between the ages of 18 and 30, are granted a 24-month visa to live, work, and study in the United Kingdom.

Ballot Results and Next Steps

Eligible Indian nationals with a bachelor’s degree or above may participate during the voting period, which runs from February 20, 2024, to February 22, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. Having no dependent children under the age of 18 and funds of at least GBP 2,530 are additional requirements. Upon selection, candidates have ninety days to submit an application, pay the necessary costs (which include the immigration health premium), and supply biometrics in order to obtain a visa. Within six months of applying for your visa, you must depart for the UK.

No-Cost Entry, Application Expenses

Three thousand visa slots are set aside for the India Young Professionals Scheme in 2024. The majority of these positions will be up for grabs in the forthcoming poll in February 2024, with the remaining slots being up for grabs in a ballot in July 2024.

Although there is no fee to enter the ballot, the Scheme’s application process costs GBP 298. Those who are not chosen on the next ballot may reapply on subsequent ones.

Through its Youth Mobility Scheme, the UK extended the chance to citizens from Hong Kong SAR, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan in 2023 by holding ballots for the India Young Professionals Scheme in March and July. Taiwanese citizens were also included in the most recent February 2024 ballot.
