PM Modi: The eighth Niti Aayog governing council meeting, with the subject “Viksit Bharat @2047: Role of Team India,” will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday at the brand-new Convention Centre in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. PM Modi will chair the meeting in his capacity as the head of NITI Aayog. In order to make India a developed country by 2047, PM Modi will discuss topics connected to health, skill development, women’s empowerment, and infrastructure development.
Eight Key Topics on the Agenda
Eight major topics, including (i) Viksit Bharat@2047, (ii) Thrust on MSMEs, (iii) Infrastructure and Investments, (iv) Minimising Compliances, (v) Women Empowerment, (vi) Health and Nutrition, (vii) Skill Development, and (viii) Gati Shakti for area development and social infrastructure, will be covered during the day-long meeting, according to the NITI Aayog. The Vice Chairman and Members of NITI Aayog, as well as the Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of all the States and Union Territories, would attend the meeting, according to the statement. These topics were thoroughly discussed at the second Chief Secretaries Conference, which was held in January 2023 as a prelude to the 8th Governing Council Meeting.

Stakeholder Consultations and Brainstorming Sessions Set the Stage
Prior to the Conference, “wide-ranging stakeholder consultations and brainstorming sessions with subject experts, academia and practitioners were held in order to gain well-rounded grassroots-level perspectives,” it added. The announcement added that the 2nd Chief Secretaries Conference, which the Prime Minister attended, brought together a select group of Secretaries from the Government of India and Chief Secretaries from every State and UT. These participants actively engaged in exchanging theme best practises and policy ideas. India, the most populous country and the fifth-largest economy in the world, is at a point in its economic development trajectory when it can experience increased growth over the next 25 years, according to the statement.
