India-Pakistan: The Pakistani leadership’s support for the “Right to Self-Determination Day” for Kashmiris was rejected by India on Thursday. Jammu and Kashmir, according to India, is a “inalienable and integral part” of the nation.
Shehbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, and the foreign minister were among the figures that spoke out in favour of the Right to Self-Determination Day.
Jammu and Kashmir is an inalienable and integral part of India
The spokesperson for the ministry of external affairs, Arindam Bagchi, stated during a press conference: “Our position has been clarified multiple times. As regards the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, the fact that Jammu and Kashmir is an inalienable and integral part of India we have reiterated God knows how many times.”
In response to particular concerns made by Pakistani authorities and on social media, such as the repeal of Article 370, Bagchi replied, “These are entirely a matter of India as well as our Constitution and it’s a sovereign matter. So, we do not see what is the locus on this.”
In response to inquiries regarding the remarks made by the Pakistani government on Thursday. The reality and our stance on this problem won’t change if a social media campaign becomes popular for a day, according to Bagchi.
Sharif penned the following in a tweet: “Peace & development in South Asia are linked to resolution of Kashmir dispute. On Right to Self-determination Day today, I call upon global community to play its part in giving Kashmiris of IIOJK their legal right to decide their destiny. India must reverse its actions of Aug 5.”

India makes a further plea for peace
In response to remarks made by the new Chinese foreign minister regarding both sides being eager to ease the situation along the Line of Actual Control, India repeated its call for peace in border areas for the development of relations with China.
In response to a question regarding the remarks made by the Chinese foreign minister Qin Gang in an article he wrote last month, Bagchi stated: “You are aware of India’s long-standing position – that ensuring peace and tranquillity in the border areas is essential for the development our relationship.” “As to the border disputes between China and India, the existing quo is that both sides are eager to defuse the situation and cooperatively protect peace along their borders,” Qin stated in the piece titled “How China Sees the World.”
