Indian Passport: Good news for holders of Indian passports! With the recent announcement of the government’s visa-free travel policy, you can visit Thailand for a maximum of two months without having to worry about securing a visa. This programme, which goes into force next month, is to increase tourism and welcome visitors from 93 nations, including India.
Thailand’s New Visa-Free Policy
Along with 92 other countries’ residents, Indian passport holders are being cordially welcomed to Thailand in an effort to boost the country’s tourist sector after COVID-19. It’s now simpler than ever to visit Thailand because of a new policy that permits retirees, students, and employees to enter Thailand for up to 60 days without a visa.
Additionally, remote workers are now eligible for a special five-year visa that gives them a maximum 180-day stay in Thailand. This action is a component of Thailand’s larger plan to increase tourism and strengthen its economy. Thailand hopes to attract 25–30 million international visitors annually, up from about 24.5 million in 2023.
