Indian Railways: Since Tuesday, May 28, when six coaches of a cargo train derailed in Palghar, Maharashtra, other trains have been impacted. Some Mumbai local trains have been canceled by Western Railway for today, May 29. While numerous trains have their itineraries changed.

Canceled Train Routes

The trains running from Dahanu Road to Panvel Road, from Vasai Road to Panvel Road, and from Vasai Road to Dahanu Road in Mumbai have all been entirely canceled, according to Western Railway. Via its official X account, Western Railway has made the list of canceled trains public. Western Railway reports that at approximately 5:10 p.m.

Derailment Details

on Wednesday, six wagons from a goods train and a BVG derailed at point number 117/118 in Palghar yard, causing disruptions to the up line of the Mumbai-Surat section. The freight train was loaded with iron coils, or bundles of iron wire. The wire bundles fell onto the track as well when the coaches derailed. Several Western Railway trains have been impacted by this occurrence, although there have not been any injuries. The most severely impacted trains are those that travel between Gujarat and Mumbai. The Railways state that repairs are being made to this line. Additionally, attempts are being made to get traffic back on the impacted line.
