A 24-year-old Indian national from Andhra Pradesh was shot dead in the United States during a shooting at the fuel station where he was working, according to the Ohio Police. The student has been identified as Saeish Veera.

Indian student shot dead in Ohio
Satish Veera, an Indian student who was pursuing Masters’s in the US, succumbed to gun wounds, Ohio Police confirmed. The incident took place at a fuel state in the Columbus division of the state.
“On April 20, 2023, at 12:50 am, Columbus Police officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of W. Broad St. on a reported shooting. Upon arrival, the officers located an adult male victim, identified as Saiesh Veera, M/O/24, suffering from a gunshot wound,” the police said in a notification.
After the accident, Columbus fire service personnel arrived on the spot and rushed him to the hospital where he died despite life-saving measures. The incident Is currently under investigation as police have launched a search to find the suspect. They had also released a picture of the suspect caught on a CCTV camera of a store.

About Saiesh Veera
Saiesh Veera was pursuing his Master’s in the US with his graduation just 10 days away. He was working as a clerk at the fuel station and was going to leave the job soon.
Veera was the first in his family to come to the US and wanted to uplift the condition of his family. He had lost his father two years ago.
