Key Benefits of the E Shram Card Nipun Yojana 2023
The E Shram Card Nipun Yojana 2023 provides robust skill-based training through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and fresh skilling. As a result, the program bolsters the employability of the youths. What’s more, under this scheme, eligible young workers will benefit from an accidental insurance cover of ₹200,000 valid for three years. Beyond this, the scheme’s practical approach ensures that every participant receives a certificate upon completion of their training, a document that can even open doors to employment opportunities abroad.
Nurturing Skills in Plumbing and Infrastructure
This innovative program goes beyond typical training. It offers young construction workers much-needed skills in plumbing and infrastructure, sectors that are fast-growing and can provide a stable income. So far, 80,000 construction workers have already received their training, and a further 14,000 beneficiaries are set to receive training under the National Skills Qualifications Framework.

The government has established a project committee under the Additional Secretary Commission Director for the program’s effective monitoring. The E Shram Card Nipun Yojana, through the RPL, offers not just skill training and certification, but also new skills, placements abroad, better livelihood opportunities for workers, safe work styles, and increased productivity. This initiative is a game-changer, signalling a brighter future for India’s youth.
