The International Yoga Day 2024 witnessed enthusiastic participation from leaders across India, from PM Modi's picturesque session at Dal Lake to various state leaders promoting the benefits of yoga.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi pleased yoga devotees on the International Day of Yoga by posting selfies captured at Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir’s gorgeous Dal Lake. The heart of the occasion was encapsulated in PM Modi’s post on X: “Post Yoga selfies in Srinagar! Unparalleled vibrancy here, at the Dal Lake.”

Celebrating Yoga Amidst Rain and Resilience

Speaking to a spirited crowd in Srinagar, Prime Minister Modi commended the exceptional zeal and commitment of the people of Jammu & Kashmir towards the practice of yoga. The participants’ spirit persisted in spite of the gloomy weather and chilly temperatures. The International Yoga Day programme was divided into many portions due to weather delays, but the attendance’ dedication was evident.

CM of Madhya Pradesh Promotes Yoga for All

Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, actively participated in the ‘State Level Yoga Practice’ program in Bhopal. He shared images on X with the message, “Yoga for self and society.” CM Yadav practiced group yoga with special guests, students, and citizens, urging all residents of the state to incorporate yoga into their daily routines to achieve life’s goals and maintain health.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the 10th International Yoga Day with a mass yoga session at the Raj Bhavan in Lucknow. Alongside Governor Anandiben Patel, CM Yogi emphasized yoga as a holistic discipline that unites the physical and mental aspects of being. He appealed to the state’s residents to make yoga a regular practice for improved health and longevity, extending heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all yoga practitioners.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde Engages with Citizens at Gateway of India

Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Eknath Shinde celebrated International Yoga Day at an event organized by Mumbai Port Trust at the iconic Gateway of India. Alongside Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai Port Trust officials, CM Shinde interacted with citizens who gathered to commemorate the day. His participation highlighted the significance of yoga in the bustling city of Mumbai.
