Lok Sabha Election 2024: All parties have intensified their preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. There are only a few days left for the voting in the first phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. It is noteworthy that the first phase of voting will take place on April 19, 2024. However, the opposition is not leaving any stone unturned in targeting PM Modi and the BJP. Today, in this article, we will discuss whether PM Modi’s guarantee is weighing heavily on the opposition. Prior to this, many news channels have projected the NDA to form the government at the center for the third time in their opinion polls. However, this is merely an opinion poll.
PM Modi Targets Congress
Addressing a election rally in Rishikesh, PM Modi said, “Whenever there has been a weak and unstable government in the country, enemies have taken advantage of it. Terrorism has spread its web here. But in the strong Modi government, terrorists are being killed in their homes.” He further said that the BJP government has abolished Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir after six decades. “It is this BJP government that has enacted a law against triple talaq, and it is this BJP government that has given reservation to women in the Lok Sabha and state legislative assemblies.”
Will Article 370, Ram Mandir Ensure BJP’s Victory?
It is noteworthy that the BJP had released its election manifesto in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. That manifesto mentioned various things, from abolishing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir to constructing the Ram Mandir, enacting a law against triple talaq, CAA, NRC and more. If we look at that manifesto today, the promises made in the manifesto have been fulfilled. In this Lok Sabha election, Modi and the BJP are forcefully raising all these issues. Many experts believe that this could benefit the BJP significantly.
PM Modi Leaves Opposition Puzzled
Keeping the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in mind, the opposition is not leaving any stone unturned in attacking the BJP and PM Modi. However, the opposition does not seem to be benefiting from it. So far, the opinion polls are showing the same results. Many experts believe that the opposition does not have a solid issue to fight against Modi. Additionally, the opposition does not have a strong face like PM Modi.

Kapil Sibal Attacks BJP
Rajya Sabha member Kapil Sibal targeted the BJP government at the center over the issue of electoral bonds. He alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is campaigning with ‘illegal money’ received through electoral bonds, and the investigating agencies are sleeping. Kapil Sibal said, “If the money received by the BJP is illegal, I want to ask them if they have received any notice from the Income Tax Department? I want to ask the Income Tax Department – has it sent any notice to the BJP? I want to ask the ED – has it conducted any raids?”
Prashant Kishor Increases Opposition’s Tension
Political strategist Prashant Kishor believes that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will increase its seats and vote share in the northeastern and southern states. He further said that there is full hope that the BJP will be the number one party in Bengal and Odisha. Not only that, but it will also be the first or second party in Telangana. However, it will be interesting to see whether the BJP forms the government at the center for the third time on June 4, or if the India alliance brings about a significant change in this election.
