Jammu and Kashmir: Kashmiri Pandit shot dead by terrorists in Srinagar

The incidents of targeting of common people by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir are not stopping. Terrorists attacked on Tuesday evening near Iqbal Park in Srinagar. One person has died in this attack. The person who lost his life in the terror attack has been identified as Makhan Lal Bindu, a Kashmiri Pandit. He was shot dead by suspected terrorists inside the pharmacy. On the other hand, a street hawker was shot dead by terrorists near Madin Sahib in Hawal on the outskirts of Srinagar city. This is the second terrorist attack on civilians in Srinagar today.

Makhan Lal Bindu, a Kashmiri Pandit businessman, was shot dead by suspected terrorists inside his pharmacy in Srinagar, police said. According to reports, militants opened fire on Makhan Lal Bindu, owner of Bindu Medicate, near Iqbal Park in Srinagar. He was taken to the hospital where he died. Jammu and Kashmir Police said that the area has been cordoned off and searches are on to nab the terrorists.

Earlier on September 17, the terrorists shot Bantu Sharma, who was working as a follower in the police, from close range and killed him. This family has been living in Kashmir for more than 30 years. In the last few weeks, there has been a second attack targeting the Kashmir victim. Such attacks have been on the rise amid efforts to return Kashmiri Pandits to the Valley and to de-possess their properties.

According to media reports, terrorist organizations Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and TRF (The Resistance Front) have been entrusted with the responsibility of targeting Kashmiri Pandits. The whole conspiracy is to create an atmosphere of fear among the people. Under this conspiracy, terrorists have intensified attacks on Kashmiri Pandits for the last few days. Terrorists are again trying to create the conditions of the nineties in the Kashmir Valley.
