Special alignment after three decades on Janmashtami 2023
This year, Janmashtami holds special significance as it coincides with a unique alignment of planets and constellations, a phenomenon not seen in thirty years. According to the Hindu calendar, this celestial alignment is considered auspicious for Lord Krishna‘s devotion and birth, believed to bring about favourable outcomes for devotees.
Krishna Janmashtami 2023 is set to commence on Wednesday, September 6, at 7:57 PM, coinciding with Ashtami Tithi. The auspicious Rohini Nakshatra will begin at 2:40 PM on the same day. Therefore, the “Jayanti” form of yoga will be observed by all to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami at midnight, marking the alignment of Ashtami Tithi and Rohini Nakshatra.
In accordance with the Hindu Panchang, a noteworthy astrological phenomenon, known as Sarvarthasiddhi Yoga, is taking shape due to the alignment of Rohini Nakshatra in the middle of the night on the Ashtami day of Krishna Paksha in the Bhadrapada month. It’s important to note that Rohini Nakshatra is associated with the Moon, and on this day, the Moon will be in the exalted sign of Taurus. This unique astrological yoga is believed to enhance the effectiveness of worship, allowing for additional spiritualness during this auspicious period.
