Jayant Chaudhary: On Tuesday, Jayant Chaudhary, a leader of the Rashtriya Lok Dal and member of the Rajya Sabha, took leadership of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) inside the Union Cabinet. He stated that in order to enable the country’s youth to achieve their goals, they must be upskilled and given new talents.

Vision for a Developed India

Jayant Chaudhary has said something big after taking the responsibility of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. He has clarified that “this ministry will play a very important role in realizing the vision of making the country a developed India.” Apart from this, he has also announced that “his goal will be to connect the youth with entrepreneurship along with early education so that they can play the role of a good citizen.”

Jayant Chaudhary was welcomed by the Secretary of the Department, Atul Kumar Tiwari, on his arrival at his office at Kaushal Bhawan. He said, “India’s vast youth population requires skills and skill upgradation to fulfil their aspirations. This work is in perfect sync with Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s vision of a developed India where every citizen gets an opportunity to flourish and contribute to the prosperity of the country.”

Encouraging Entrepreneurship and Employability

According to Jayant Chaudhary, there is a continuing demand for fresh, industry-relevant talents in all spheres of life, and I have no doubt that the Ministry’s persistent efforts will significantly alter the labor and skill environment. Flagship programs including the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) and the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) are currently being operated by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

These initiatives aim to encourage entrepreneurship and improve employability. In order to provide youngsters with greater chances in the global labor market, the Ministry is also concentrating on enhancing Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) around the nation and coordinating skill development programs with worldwide standards. MSDE also aims to empower individuals by adopting digital technologies, enhancing infrastructure and promoting inclusive skill training through platforms such as Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH).

Extensive Parliamentary Experience

Jayant Chaudhary has served on the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, the Standing Committee on Parliamentary Commerce, the Consultative Committee on Finance, and the Committee on Government Assurances. He has been a member of the Committee on Ethics and the Standing Committees on Agriculture and Finance.
