Various student organizations have called for Jharkhand bandh today for the demand of 1932 Khatian based planning policy in Jharkhand. At the same time, its special effect is being seen on the roads of Dhanbad. Traffic has been disrupted by arson on the roads at many places.
Due to this, the people who have gone out for daily work are facing a lot of difficulty. Actually, different student organizations from different areas of Jharkhand are demanding 1932 Khatian based planning policy. Jharkhandi students say that the government is playing with the sentiments of the indigenous people here.
60-40 planning policy is being implemented in Jharkhand. Students say that Jharkhand should be made a separate state so that the indigenous people who have been neglected for years will get their due rights. But in whose hands the ruling power has been, they have done the work of misleading the people here. JMM has Congress government in Jharkhand for more than three years. These parties had clearly said in the election manifesto that if their government is formed, work will be done to give their rights to the indigenous people by implementing the 1932 Khatian based planning policy. But as soon as the government was formed, the 1932 based planning policy went into cold storage and the 60-40 planning policy is being implemented.
Warning of fierce agitation
Student organizations say that if the government does not warn even from today’s Jharkhand bandh, then there will be a massive agitation in the future. In the coming time, both JMM and Congress parties involved in the government will have to bear the brunt of this.
