J&K: Early on Thursday morning, a second unexplained explosion occurred in a bus that was parked at the old bus stop in the Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir. This bomb follows another one that occurred eight hours ago. However, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries related to the incident.

Police suspects an IED blast
After the preliminary investigation, Mukesh Singh, the Additional DGP for the Jammu zone, stated: “According to the preliminary investigation, it appears to be an IED blast. Research is being done. These bursts have a high energy level. Sticky bombs could be the cause.
A team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA), according to sources, has been dispatched to Udhampur to look into the explosions. Along with the NIA team, forensic specialists will arrive at the location.

Army Bomb Disposal Squad investigators are working on the case in the interim. The bomb site has also been visited by a dog squad.
As two bombs occurred in the district, locals protested against the district administration under the leadership of Udhampur Congress Counselor Preeti Khajuria.
Two persons were hurt in a strange explosion that happened in a bus on Wednesday at about 10:45 p.m. near Domail chowk.
The distance between the first and second explosions was only 4 kilometres.
