On Friday, a drone was shot down in the Kanachak district of Jammu and Kashmir. The drone also contained explosive stuff, according to the authorities.

News agency ANI reported that the drone was shot six kilometres inside the Indian border. The drone has been identified as a Hexacopter.
According to the police, around 5 kg improvised explosive device (IED) material has been recovered from the drone.
Sources said, “The capacity of the batteries of the drone is about 25000 MAH which is written on the batteries, sources said adding that thereafter when Bomb Disposal Squad when opened the sealed packet, found one-timer IED fitted in an iron box weighting about 3-3.5 kg.
The drone had a mark “CF PROP 30.2 * 9.9L” and the aerial distance spotted from International Border (IB) Kana Chak is about 6.5 Km.
An anti-drone system was deployed by the NSG following a drone attack on the Jammu Air Base last month. The Air Force has also taken measures to prevent any such attack on the air bases in Jammu and other parts of the country.
Earlier on Wednesday, a suspected drone was spotted in the Satwari area. Prior to that on July 16, a drone that was seen operating around the Jammu Air Base was picked up by the radars of the anti-drone system deployed by the National Security Guard (NSG).
It is to be noted that after the Jammu attack, the number of drone sightings has gone up drastically and there have been several instances where the army and Border Security Forces (BSF) troops at the border have fired at them.
