The J&K government has sacked four employees – including Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin’s and separatist leader Bitta Karate’s wife – amid probe over terror links, officials said on Saturday.
Dr Muheet Ahmad Bhat is a scientist-D in post-graduate Department of Computer Science at University of Kashmir (KU) while Qadri works as Senior Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies in the same varsity. Earlier on May 13, another professor of the KU was terminated on the same charges.
The action has been taken under Article 311 of the Constitution, under which the government can sack its employees from services without an enquiry, officials said.
