Celebrating India’s Lunar Triumph and Inspiring Students

The Chandrayaan 3 Maha Quiz was created to honour the accomplishment of India’s lunar mission and to entice students to learn more about Chandrayaan 3. The test consists of 10 multiple-choice questions that can be answered in either five minutes or three minutes. MyGov is a platform for citizen engagement created by the Indian government on July 26, 2014, to encourage residents to actively participate in the governance and development of their nation. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the ISRO facilities to congratulate the researchers on the success of Chandrayaan 3, he also officially announced the quiz. “I will request students to participate in Chandrayaan 3 mahaquiz which will help them to explore about country’s lunar mission” the Prime Minister had said.

Win Big with Chandrayaan 3 Mahaquiz

The candidates must register for a personal MyGov account in order to take the Chandrayaan 3 Mahaquiz. A printable certificate of participation will be given to each participant, and there will be cash awards awarded to the quiz’s victors. The top performer will receive a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees One Lakh Only), followed by the second-best performer who will receive Rs. 75,000 (Rupees Seventy-Five Thousand Only), and the third-best performer who will receive Rs. 50,000 (Rupees Fifty Thousand Only). As of September 25 at 11 a.m., 16,79,412 people had taken the MahaQuiz. The Chandrayaan-3 lander, named “Vikram,” made India the first country to land on the unexplored lunar South Pole on August 23 after a 40-day voyage into orbit. On September 2, the rover Pragyan was securely parked and put into sleep mode after traversing more than 100 metres on the lunar surface from the Shiv Shakti Point, the location of the lander Vikram’s touchdown. ISRO claims that attempts to restore communication have not been effective thus far.
