Amid the surge in COVID cases in Karnataka, Kannada actor Arjun Gowda launched his ambulance service named Project Smile Trust, to ferru COVID-19 patients to hospitals.
According to the developments, apart from taking helping COVID patients, his initiative is also carrying out final rites of those have lost their lives in the war against the deadly virus.
“I’ve been on the road for a couple of days and I’ve already helped out around half a dozen people with assistance for final rites. We want to ensure that we help out anyone in need irrespective of where they come from or what religion they practice,” he told Bangalore Times.
Arjun has appeared in a slew of hit Kannada movies. He is known for his roles in Rustum, Aa Drushya, Odeya. He has also been the part of the recently released Yuvarathna, where Puneeth Rajkumar was in the lead role.
