Kanwar Yatra 2023:As the Kanwar yatra kicks off today, Delhiites have been advised to follow Traffic Route in order to avoid jams and chaos. The Yatra will be continued till July 15th. Around 15-20 kanwaris are expected to travel through the city this year. Meanwhile the Delhi Police has made elaborate security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident. Police has asked citizens to follow traffic rules and cooperate with the officers on duty.
Special arrangements made for the Kanwar Yatris
Delhi Police has deployed more than 6000 security personnel and also put up control rooms all over the areas. The Police Personnel have been divided into three shifts so that they can work round the clock to supervise the arrangements in the communal sensitive areas. Police has also put up CCTVs to monitor the Kanwar Yatra round the clock. Police have set up around 200 camps to help the Kanwar Yatris during their journey.
Traffic Police requests all to adhere to the rules
All the devotees will be coming from Rajasthan and Haryana and will be passing through these border points like Maharajpur, Ghazipur, Singhu, Bhopura and Apsara . All the areas from where the Kanwar Yatris will pass will have strict vehicular movement. Traffic Police has requested commuters to cooperate and follow the Traffic Rules during the Yatra.
