Karwa Chauth 2023: On November 1, people will celebrate the auspicious festival of Karwa Chauth, commonly referred to as Karak Chaturthi. In the month of Kartik, Karwa Chauth is observed on Krishna Paksha Chaturthi. Married ladies celebrate the holiday in hopes of their spouses’ long life, safety, and health. Married ladies fast throughout the day, going without food or liquids, during this celebration. Their spouses feed them food and water to break their fast only after they have seen the moon.
Importance of Proper Rites
Pandit Nandkishore Mudgal, a well-known astrologer in Deoghar, told News18 that there are certain rites that must be properly followed throughout this fast. Additionally, he stated that married women should dress elegantly in traditional Indian clothing and wear elaborate Indian jewellery for the event.
