According to the auspicious time, the doors of the temple were opened at 6.25 am with Vedic chanting, after which the Rawal (chief priest) entered the temple carrying Baba's doli. On this occasion, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was also present along with 10 thousand devotees. Thousands of devotees from Gaurikund moved towards Kedarnath Dham on Thursday morning. Devotees covered a distance of about 21 km from here on foot, horse or pitthu. The journey that started at 6 in the morning ended at Kedarnath Dham at 4 in the evening. There was an atmosphere of panic due to the arrival of more devotees than capacity, after which thousands of devotees were stopped at Gaurikund. However, everyone was allowed to go to Kedarnath on Friday morning. It is believed that Baba Kedarnath stays in Samadhi for 6 months for the welfare of the world. On the last day of the closing of the doors of the temple, after the offering, one and a half quintals of Bhabhuti is offered. With the opening of the doors, Baba Kedar wakes up from the samadhi. After this, he gives darshan to the devotees.
