The Communist Party of India (Marxist) which is the leading ruler of the Left Democratic Front in Kerala has announced the list of 83 candidates for the Kerala Elections which will be held in the month of April.
The Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will fight from old seat in Dharmadom in Kannur district while the Health Minister KK Shailaja will feild from Mattanur.
The state of Kerala will on poll from April 6 and this time again the ruling CPI(M) is the strong contender. CPI(M) has been the face of Keral in the war against COVID-19 and the entire world had praised the mega Kerala COVID model.
The party is contesting from 74 seats, of these, nine are CPI(M)-backed independents. Candidates for two seats — Devikulam in the Idukki district and Manjeshwar in Kasaragod — will be declared later.
