Khalistani Terrorist Gurpatwant Pannun Warns to Blow Up Air India Flight on November 19, Details

Gurpatwant Pannun

Gurpatwant Pannun: Head of the Canadian-based, outlawed separatist organisation Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has threatened India once more, claiming he will blow up an Air India flight on November 19. He asked Sikhs not to board an Air India flight on November 19 because it would endanger their lives, in a video message that went viral on Saturday. On that day, he claimed, Indira Gandhi Airport will be closed.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun Issues Disturbing Warning

With a Hamas-style strike, Pannun threatened India last month, saying that “there will be a reaction” if “India is going to keep occupying Punjab.” He stated, “(PM) Modi learned from the Palestine-Israel conflict,” in the video that was made public last month. From Palestine to Punjab, people living under occupation will respond, and bloodshed will only multiply. There would be repercussions if India continues to dominate Punjab.

Seizure of Pannun’s Properties

In September, Pannun’s Chandigarh and Amritsar properties were seized by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in accordance with the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. 46 kanals of Pannu’s agricultural land in the area have been seized by the investigative agency in connection with a terror case that was filed in 2020.

Leading an Anti-Indian Campaign

One of the founders of the separatist organisation SFJ, Gurpatwant Singh Pannun has been inspiring young Sikh people in his native Punjab to become militants and leading an anti-Indian campaign. Additionally, Pannun has been aggressively advocating in the US, Canada, and the UK for a separate state for Sikhs, which they refer to as Khalistan. Two months after Pannun was labelled a terrorist by India’s Home Ministry in July 2020, the government issued an order to attach his properties under Section 51A of the strict Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.

Key Role in Khalistan Referendum

He was a key organiser of the so-called Khalistan Referendum, which asked Sikhs all over the world to cast their votes on whether Punjab should gain religious independence. Additionally, he collaborated closely with the terrorist from Khalistania, Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was stationed in Canada and whose killing is the main reason behind the diplomatic impasse between Ottawa and New Delhi.
