Khalistani terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda has died. It is being told that Rinda has died due to drug overdose. He was suffering from kidney disease for a long time. Most wanted terrorist Rinda was living in Lahore, Pakistan and was undergoing treatment in the hospital there. Rinda’s death has been confirmed by senior police officers of Punjab and central agencies.
Harvinder Singh Rinda is most wanted in many terrorist attacks in Punjab. Rinda’s name was also linked to the RPG attack on the Punjab Police Headquarters in May this year. Intelligence officials of Punjab Police said that Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI could be behind Rinda’s death. He has many links in Punjab, due to which he had come very close to many terrorist organizations sitting in Pakistan.
Rinda was considered close to ISI
Gangster-turned-terrorist Rinda was considered close to ISI. It was ISI who had given him the identity of Rana and kept him in Lahore with his girlfriend. After fleeing from Punjab, Rinda used to execute terrorist incidents sitting in Lahore. Rinda was a resident of Tarn Taran in Punjab, but for a few years he started living in Naded Saheb, Maharashtra.
Rinda also opened fire on the President of the Student Organization
According to Indian investigative agencies, Harvinder Singh Rinda’s investigation revealed that he had reached Pakistan via Nepal through fake passport. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in September 2011 for the murder of a youth in Tarn Taran. He was also accused of assaulting the officials of the Patiala Central Jail in 2014. Apart from this, in 2016, Rinda also opened fire on the President of the Student Organization of India at Punjab University in Chandigarh.
