Koregaon Case: Poet Varavara Rao Released After Last Month’s Bail

The 81-year-old poet-activist, Varvara Rao, who has been jailed for more than two years in the Koregaon-Bhima case, was kicked out of Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital late Saturday after the Bombay High Court granted him bail for six months. Medical basis last month.

Rao has been told by the court that he should stay in Mumbai and be available for investigation whenever needed. He was in custody since August 28, 2018 awaiting trial in the case.
