Sharad Agarwal said that the company is impatiently learning how to hit the three-digit mark
“Yes, that will be our course of action. This is the question that has been plaguing us. We eagerly anticipate finding out how to reach the three-digit threshold and the century, perhaps in 2023. We hope that’s the course we’re going in,” Agarwal told PTI. In response to a question about if the business is confident in achieving the 100 unit sales milestone in 2023 after falling short by 8 units the previous year, he stated that they are.
He mentioned that Lamborghini will launch its first hybrid car this year and that efforts will be made to ship the automobile to India as soon as possible.
“This year, we will start moving into the next stage of our business, where we will hybridise every model we offer. And then, in 2024, we’ll release the hybrid Urus along with the brand-new hybrid V10, which will be the Huracan’s successor and an entirely new vehicle,” Agarwal continued. According to him, India became one of Lamborghini’s fastest-growing markets in both Asia Pacific and the world in 2022.
The company delivered 9,233 automobiles globally in 2022, up 10% from the previous year, and had its best-ever global sales year overall. The Asia area had a 14% increase.
He said that the SUV Urus made up more than 60% of the company’s business in India.
