Under the deal with France, the delivery of fighter aircraft Rafale was completed today on Thursday. With the landing of the last and 36th Rafale aircraft in India, the country got 36 Rafale fighters. Rafale has reached India after mid-air refueling in UAE. In September 2016, India signed an inter-governmental agreement with France to buy 36 Rafale aircraft at a cost of Rs 59,000 crore. The first Rafale aircraft came to the country in the month of July last year.
According to news agency ANI, the last Rafale out of 36 Rafale aircraft to reach India received mid-air fuel from UAE aircraft after taking off from France and then landed in India. Indian Air Force has given this information. French government had supplied 35 Rafale planes and the 36th was waiting for a long time.
