Police investigation in the Shraddha Walker murder case in Mehrauli, Delhi is progressing rapidly. Police produced Shraddha’s live-in partner and murderer Aftab Amin Poonawala through video conferencing in Saket Court on Thursday. The court has extended the police custody of Aftab by 5 days.

At the same time, outside the Saket court before the appearance, the lawyers raised slogans demanding justice for 27-year-old Shraddha Walker. The lawyers demanded that Aftab Poonawala, the murderer of Shraddha, should be hanged.

Due to the demonstration of the lawyers, there was chaos in the court premises for a long time. The police already had the input of this demonstration, so it had demanded the court to appear through video conferencing. After the production, the court has extended the police custody of Aftab by 5 days that is till 22 November.

Meanwhile, the police had asked the court to recreate the scene by taking the accused to the Parvati Valley of Himachal and the forest areas of Delhi.

Search for murder weapon and mobile continues in the forests of Mehrauli



On the other hand, for the third consecutive day, the police was searching for Shraddha’s pieces, the saw used to cut the corpse and Shraddha’s mobile in the forests of Mehrauli. Till now 13 body parts have been found from here, which have been sent for forensic examination and DNA test.

28-year-old Aftab Poonawalla strangled Shraddha to death on May 18 and cut her into 35 pieces and threw them in the forest for 18 days.


According to the information, after cutting Shraddha into pieces, the accused had burnt her face to hide her identity. During interrogation, he has told that he got all this information through internet. According to sources, the vehicle in which Shraddha’s clothes were thrown has been identified by the police. The police have identified two such spots where the dustbin’s waste was thrown. Search operation is going on at those spots.
