Akhilesh Yadav: Addressing a public meeting in Agra on Friday evening, CM Yogi Adityanath claimed: “I believe firmly that there can be nothing greater than the nation” and warned that the country may become “cut off” if gets divided over any issue, he said “Batenge, To Katenge”. Speaking on the issue of preserving the country’s unity and integrity and of not breaking up into pieces, he roared that he lauded most of Bangladesh and buttressed his point.
Akhilesh Yadav’s Response
The statement by the Chief Minister came on Janmashtami, a day when reportedly he talked about issues of unity and national strength. He appealed to the people for unity, saying division on the issue of caste, language, or society shall bring no good results. “We have to be watchful of the forces that divide,” Yogi said while recounting historical outrage, and in a different context, he said solidarity is the strength behind ensuring national safety.
CM Yogi’s References to Agra’s Past and Cultural Integrity
But those comments brought a blunt reaction from the Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav. His attack was so scathing; questioning how leaders responsible to reduce fear are promoting it. Categorically, Yadav stated CM Yogi’s comments are pathetic and condemnable for creating an atmosphere of fear in BJP’s era. Yadav said, “If those opinions are that of someone, then they are wrong; if, however, they are the party’s. then that would paint a worse picture.” He dared to ask if the so-called double-engine government of the BJP was failing if his impression is something to go by, as he said in his monologue that his impression was that UP was definitely not a state at peace and safe as it had promised to be.
A speech that included a reference to the historical context of Agra with the demolition activities of Aurangzeb and celebrated the end of the long construction of a statue of Veer Durgadas. The important message of the Chief Minister was explained by calling to retain cultural and historical integrity during modern-day tests.
